How to participate?

The Gas, Camera Action! Online Photography Contest will take place over 3 online platforms: Facebook, instagr.am and Flickr.

You are free to submit as many photos as you desire and may do so in either 1 or all 3 platforms.
 

1. "LIKE" the ItsNotMagicItsScience Facebook page.
2. Ensure that you are at least 13 years old.
3. Snap a picture that you think has a meaningful connection with gas in our everyday lives.
4. Post it up on ItsNotMagicItsScience's Facebook Photo Wall (only photos posted on our photo wall will be eligible).
5. Attach a witty caption together with your photo.
6. Tag ItsNotMagicItsScience to your submitted photo.
7. Spread the word and get as many "LIKES" as you can.
8. There will be 6 shortlist periods throughout the contest period.
  At the end of every shortlist period, 2 photos will be selected to enter the final shortlist and be in the running for the Grand Prize of 1,000 Euros sponsored by GasTerra.
 
a) The most "LIKED" photo at the end of every shortlist period will enter the final shortlist.
b) The panel of judges will also select 1 photo from the top ten most "LIKED" photo at the end of every shortlist period to enter the final shortlist.
9. Panel of judges will cast their final votes at the end of the contest period to decide which of the final shortlisted photographs will take home the Grand Prize of 1,000 Euros.
10. If you have been selected as one of the 12 final shortlisted participants, you will be required to send a hi-res version of their photo to be produced and displayed at WGC 2012.

5. Post it up on Instagram and attach a witty caption with your photo.
6. Tag #ItsNotMagicItsScience to your submitted photo.
7. Spread the word and get as many "LIKES" as you can.

4. Post it up in the "Gas, Camera, Action! Worldwide Photography Contest" Group and attach a witty caption with your photo.
5. Tag #ItsNotMagicItsScience to your submitted photo.
